Here is the useful tip[s] of the day...

hold all your files in one single folder in c:\, and then make categories for them, that way all your files are contained in to a *managed* environment, for example mine is something like this

c:\shuzz\Cenfo\[any subject]
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Media\Photos
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\MP#
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Videos
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Other\[unclassified]
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Software\Utilities
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Apps
c:\shuzz\Cenfo\Drivers

well you get the idea... that way when you need to back it up you don’t have to go all over your HDD looking for the files....

Now for the MP# folder, i'm really tidy there I have it like this:

MP#\English\Artist\Album\## - Title.mp3
MP#\Español\Artist\Album\## - Title.mp3
MP#\Misc\Artist\## - Title.mp3
MP#\New\Artist\Album\## - Title.mp3

Basically whatever is in the languages section, [English, Español], are complete albums, and all have the proper ID3 tags.
Then on misc I have the songs that I like, but don’t have the album, properly tagged.
New, is the drop box, anything new goes in there until is tagged and properly named, and then it is moved to the appropriate section.


This is a very useful tool, it will let you manage the tags for you mp3s [you can get the songs' names out of Amazon or FreeDB! pictures included], plus it has a great mass editing system, you can also mass rename thee song to a given format... it is really cool once you get the handle of it.
